Who We Are

  • Ozanam Charitable Pharmacy provides name brand and generic medication for chronic diseases such as diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure, and asthma. In addition, special partnerships with A Servant's Love and Feeding The Gulf Coast enable us to provide food and sundries for our homeless and working poor patients.
  • Through Access Your Rx/Senior Rx, Ozanam's Patient Assistance Programs, our patients are able to receive name brand medications directly from pharmaceutical companies.  Senior Rx is available to assist seniors or disable individuals who cannot pay high copays for their medication.
  • Furthermore, Ozanam's Medication Therapy Management program allows patients to sit down with a fourth-year pharmacy student from Auburn University’s Harrison School of Pharmacy to discuss their disease state, medications, and other factors that may contribute to the effectiveness of their treatment, such as diet and exercise.

What We Do

Ozanam Charitable Pharmacy, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, is the only free prescription medication safety net for uninsured residents of Mobile, Baldwin, Escambia, and Washington counties in south Alabama. In 2023, our mission provided 1316 uninsured patients with $3 million worth of life-sustaining prescription medications at no cost to them. Ozanam Charitable Pharmacy partners with local social service agencies to determine eligibility for those seeking prescription assistance. Those who qualify receive their prescription medications at no cost. Ozanam Charitable Pharmacy dispenses life-sustaining medications, excluding controlled substances or birth control prescriptions.
